BeeForTV setup guide

Share a live channel from your phone.

Open one channel on a second device with a local link or QR. Your phone stays connected and supplies the stream.

Live sharing QR
Scan with your camera on the same private Wi-Fi to open the stream page. For account setup, use the Account QR.

Based on the phone Live screen in BeeForTV 1.0.25. Older app versions may differ.

One phone. One channel. Your local network.

Live sharing lets the phone relay the playing channel to another device. It is separate from account-QR setup, user-list synchronization and network contribution. Use content you are authorized to share.

Guided illustration with fictional content. The displayed QR is not a real stream.

  1. Connect both devices

Use the same trusted private Wi-Fi or local network. The phone needs internet access to your provider, and the receiving device must be able to reach the phone. Guest Wi-Fi isolation and VPN settings may block this.

  2. Start a channel, then tap Share

Open Live TV on the phone and wait until the channel plays. Reveal the phone controls and choose the antenna-shaped Live sharing icon. Android may offer battery settings; allowing Unrestricted background use can help when the screen turns off.

  3. Wait for the ready link and QR

The Live sharing screen first shows Preparing link… The link and QR appear when the relay is ready. Local video stops on the phone; it does not continue in a second “watch here” player.

  4. Watch on the receiving device

Scan the QR with a normal camera to open the phone’s local page, then choose Open Stream. If its browser cannot play the video, copy the direct .m3u8 link into a compatible video player. Share link on the phone opens Android sharing; tapping the address copies it.

  5. Keep sharing or stop

Exit app (keep sharing) backgrounds BeeForTV. Keep the phone connected and avoid force-stopping it. Return to BeeForTV and choose Stop sharing to end the stream and resume local playback.

Try the step-by-step illustration

If the stream does not open

Preparing or reconnecting takes too long

Allow the channel to start before sharing. If the screen stays on Preparing link… or Reconnecting, choose Stop sharing, test another channel locally, then try again. A stale link or an unavailable provider can prevent a ready stream.

The QR opens a page, but there is no video

The QR intentionally opens a local helper page. Select Open Stream. If the browser cannot handle the HLS stream or its codecs, use the direct link in a compatible player.

The other device cannot reach the address

Check the network, VPN and guest/client-isolation settings. The link points to the phone, not a public internet service. Keep the phone connected; its address can change after changing networks.

I cannot change channels while sharing

That is expected. Stop sharing first, choose another channel, and start a new sharing session.

Sharing stops when the phone screen is off

Review Android’s battery restrictions for BeeForTV. The app’s battery prompt can open App info → Battery. Device power management may still interrupt background activity.

Keep the local stream private.

The current local stream uses HTTP without a separate pairing password. Share the link only with intended viewers on a trusted private network. It is not a remote-access link, and forwarding it does not create an account on the receiving device.
